19th-place finish for Stevens in Gobbler run
Tyler Stevens wrapped up his late-fall schedule on Saturday with a start in the 36th annual Gobbler at the quarter-mile Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
A 32-car Super Late Model field necessitated two qualifying groups, with the top eight in each automatically transferring into the 40-lap, $6,000-to-win feature. Stevens turned in the fifth-quickest time in his group and rolled off ninth in the main event aboard his Pitts Fuel Investments No. 2 machine.
He ran in the top 10 for much of the race but ran over something late, resulting in a flat left-rear tire and a DNF. He ultimately came home 19th.
During the 2024 season, Stevens claimed two wins, three top-five finishes and 10 top-10s.
