After a lengthy break from racing action, Tyler Stevens and TLP Motorsports returned to action over the weekend with a trip south to Louisiana for a pair of events. On Friday night the action opened at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) and Stevens night seemed to be off to a good start as Tyler led his heat race in the Frazier Accounting Crate Late Model division. Unfortunately, his luck soon took a turn for the worse as electrical issues forced him to relinquish the lead.
The team repaired their issue for the feature, which found Stevens starting 19th on the grid. Despite being pinned deep in the grid, Tyler rallied to finish third.
On Saturday evening at The Rev (Monroe, Louisiana), Tyler enjoyed a great night as he picked up his fifth win of the 2021 season. After finishing second in his heat race, Stevens started the feature in the fifth position.
The finale found him racing to the front of the field to pick up a hard-fought win over Brandon Ball.
